Hidden Mitten Ages 3-7 · iPhone, iPad, Android

Somebody lost a mitten. Can you find it?

Hidden Mitten is a seek-and-find picture game. Six hand-drawn scenes, twelve things hidden in each, and a gentle nudge when little eyes get stuck. No reading needed - the things to find are pictures, not words.

HOW IT PLAYS

Tap what you spot. That's the whole game.

There is no timer, no score, no lives, and no way to lose. A three-year-old can start playing without a single word of explanation.

Three things at a time

The bar shows three pictures to look for, not a list of twelve. Find one, the next slides in. Small goals, steady wins.

A hint that waits

Stuck for a while? A soft ring pulses near the thing you're hunting. It appears on its own after a quiet minute, or on tap - never as a nag.

Made for small fingers

Every target has a generous tap area, buttons are oversized, and the game locks to landscape so the picture is never cropped.

THE SCENES

Six busy places, drawn by hand.

Pencil and watercolour, in the Wimmelbuch tradition - the crowded picture books children pore over for an hour without turning the page.

Zoo

Elephants, penguins, flamingos and a very busy monkey climbing frame.

Free

Station

A green steam engine under a glass roof, travellers, trolleys and pigeons.

Free

Market

Awnings, fruit crates, a stone fountain and a street full of shoppers.

Harbour

Fishing boats, crates, nets, gulls and barrels along the quayside.

Building site

A crane, a digger, a half-built house and workers in hard hats.

Fair

A carousel, a ferris wheel, bunting, a puppet booth and a lot of balloons.

FOR PARENTS

Nothing in here is trying to get something from your child.

  • No advertising of any kind, and no third-party analytics or attribution SDKs in the build.
  • No accounts, no sign-up, no email. Progress is a small file on the device and nothing leaves it.
  • The purchase and every outside link sit behind a parental gate - a two-digit multiplication a young child cannot pass by accident.
  • One purchase unlocks everything, once. No subscription, no coins, no loot boxes, no second thing to buy later.

QUESTIONS

The short version.

What does it cost?

The app is free with two full scenes. One optional purchase unlocks the other four, permanently, on every device signed into the same store account. There is no subscription.

What age is it for?

Three to seven. Younger children usually want a hint or two; by five or six most work through a scene alone. Nothing in the game requires reading.

Does it need internet?

No. Every scene ships inside the app. It plays on a plane, in a car, and with the device in airplane mode - which is how we'd suggest handing it over.
