Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Weight Tracker is published by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"). This policy explains what the app stores, how that data is handled, and the rights you have. Questions or requests: [email protected].
2. What Weight Tracker stores on your device
The following data lives only on your phone, in the app's private storage, and is never transmitted to CodeEnsis or any third party:
- Your weight history - every entry you log, with its date, value, and any note you add.
- Your goal weight and the progress derived from it.
- Your height and the BMI calculated from it.
- Your measurement system (metric / imperial) and unit preferences.
- Reminder preferences - the time and cadence of your daily weigh-in reminder.
- Streak state (current and longest) and onboarding completion.
- App settings such as theme and similar preferences.
If you uninstall Weight Tracker, all of this is removed with the app. There is nothing left for us to delete on a server, because we never had it.
3. What Weight Tracker does not collect
- No real name, email, phone number, password, or social login. There is no account.
- No advertising. The app contains no ad SDKs and shows no ads.
- No third-party analytics or usage tracking. We do not measure what you tap, view, or log.
- No contacts, microphone, camera, photo library, or location.
- No cross-app tracking. No data is sold or shared. There is no advertising identifier in use.
4. Network use
Weight Tracker works fully offline. Logging weight, viewing your trend, calculating BMI, setting goals, and scheduling reminders all happen on your device without a network connection. The app does not send your weight data anywhere.
5. Exporting and sharing your data
You can export your full history to a CSV file from within the app. When you choose to share or save that file, your device's standard share sheet hands it to whatever destination you pick (email, a notes app, cloud storage, etc.). That action, and where the file goes, is entirely under your control - CodeEnsis is not involved and never receives a copy.
6. Reminders and notifications
If you enable the weigh-in reminder, Weight Tracker schedules a local notification on your device at the time you choose. Reminders are generated on-device; there are no remote push servers and no message content leaves your phone. You can turn reminders off in the app, or revoke the notification permission at any time in your system settings.
7. Permissions Weight Tracker asks for
- Notifications - to deliver the optional daily weigh-in reminder at the cadence you choose. Scheduled locally; you can revoke this at any time in system settings.
- Exact alarms (Android, where applicable) - so a scheduled reminder fires at the time you set rather than being deferred. Used only for reminders.
8. Children
Weight Tracker is a general-audience fitness tool and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app collects nothing and has no network features that transmit data, it does not knowingly collect data from children or anyone else.
9. Your rights
Because there is no account and your data never reaches our servers, exercising your rights is straightforward:
- Access / portability: All of your data is visible to you directly inside the app, and can be exported to CSV at any time (section 5).
- Deletion: Deleting individual entries, or uninstalling Weight Tracker, removes the data - because all of it is local. There is no server-side profile to delete.
- Confirmation: If you would like written confirmation that we hold nothing about you, write to [email protected] - a human reads every message.
10. Data retention
On-device data is retained until you delete it in the app, uninstall the app, or clear it from your device's app settings. We retain nothing about you because we never receive anything.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Weight Tracker evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective" date above. If a future version of the app ever introduces a feature that transmits data, this policy will be updated to describe it before that feature ships, and any such feature will be opt-in. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
