PILLOWBOOK
Delete your account.
From inside the app
- Open Pillowbook.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period and nothing to undo, so make sure you have shared or saved anything you want to keep first.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Email [email protected] from the address associated with your Apple sign-in, with the subject “Delete my Pillowbook account”. We action these within 30 days and reply once it is done.
If you only ever used Pillowbook without signing in, your stories were stored on that device alone — removing the app already deleted them, and we hold nothing tied to you.
What gets deleted
Permanently, with no recovery:
- Your account and sign-in credential
- Your child's profile — name, age, interests, and anything else you entered
- Every story generated for you
- Your notification token and time zone
What we keep, and why
Anonymised, non-identifying records — with no account id, no name, and nothing that points back to you — may be retained to keep the storyteller improving. Billing records are held for as long as tax and accounting law requires; they are handled by Apple, not by us.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Apple runs the billing, and only you can cancel it. Do that first, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device, or you will keep being charged for a subscription you can no longer use.
