Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Myotlas is a mobile application published by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"), Χριστόδουλου Σώζου 2, EIFFEL TOWER, Floor 3, Flat/Office 301, 1096 Λευκωσία, Κύπρος. Myotlas is a 3D muscle anatomy atlas. This policy explains what data the app handles and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
2. Data stored on your device
The muscles you save, the notes you write, your recent searches and your settings (theme, term language, Latin names) are stored only on your device. They are not transmitted to us and we cannot access them. The anatomy content and 3D models are bundled with the app, so browsing the atlas makes no network requests.
3. Usage and crash statistics
Myotlas includes Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics. They tell us which parts of the atlas people use and what breaks, so we know what to improve and can fix crashes we would otherwise never hear about.
What is recorded: which actions you take (for example "a muscle was opened from search", "the paywall was shown"), the identifier of the muscle or movement involved, counts such as the length of a search query, and, for crashes, the technical state of the app at the moment it failed. Events are tied to a random identifier generated on your device at install, not to your name, email or any account.
What is never recorded: the text of your notes and the text you type into search. We do not build an advertising profile, we run no ad SDK, and we do not sell data to anyone.
Your choice. Settings has a single switch, Share usage stats, that turns all of this on and off. Nothing is collected until the app has decided whether your consent is needed. On Android the app looks at the country of your SIM card, or of the mobile network if there is no SIM; on iOS it uses your device's region. If that country is in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, or if the app cannot tell the country (for example a Wi-Fi-only tablet), the switch starts off and nothing is collected unless you turn it on. Everywhere else it starts on and you may turn it off at any time; turning it off stops collection immediately. Statistics are switched off entirely in development builds.
4. Purchases
If you buy Myotlas Pro, payment is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store. To unlock Pro and restore it on a new device, a pseudonymous app-user identifier and your purchase/receipt data are processed by our purchase provider RevenueCat. We never receive your name, email or payment card details.
5. Third-party services

6. Permissions
Myotlas requests no sensitive device permissions: no camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage access. Reading the SIM or network country needs no permission and the value never leaves the device.
7. Data retention and deletion
Your saved muscles and notes live on your device: deleting a note removes it immediately, and uninstalling the app removes all Myotlas data from the device. There is no account to delete.
Usage and crash statistics are retained by Google under the retention period set on our Analytics property. Because they carry a random install identifier rather than your identity, we need that identifier from you to find and remove a specific install's events - contact us and we will assist. Purchase records held by Google Play, the App Store and RevenueCat are governed by their own policies.
8. Children
Myotlas is a reference for students and professionals and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Legal basis (GDPR) and your rights
Your notes and saved muscles never reach our servers, so the rights of access, rectification and erasure over them are satisfied directly on your device.
Usage and crash statistics are handled on the basis of your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, wherever consent is required; where it is not, they rest on our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and the same switch turns them off. Purchase data is handled on the basis of performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
You may contact us to exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
10. Security
Your data is protected by your device's own security (lock screen, encryption). Statistics and purchase traffic are encrypted in transit.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Myotlas evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Effective" date above.
