Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Carpet Calculator is a mobile application published by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"), Χριστόδουλου Σώζου 2, EIFFEL TOWER, Floor 3, Flat/Office 301, 1096 Λευκωσία, Κύπρος. The app estimates how much carpet to order from a fixed-width roll, where the seams fall, and what the job costs. This policy explains what data the app handles and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").
2. Data stored on your device
Everything you enter - room lengths and widths, roll widths, lay direction, pattern repeats, trim and seam allowances, carpet products and their prices, saved jobs with their names, client names and statuses, your business name, and your preferences - is stored only on your device, in a local database. It is not transmitted to us and we have no ability to access it. We operate no backend server and no user accounts for Carpet Calculator.
3. Data we do not collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or postal address, and we have no way to link app usage to your identity. The app contains no advertising SDK. We do not sell data - there is nothing to sell.
4. Usage and crash statistics
Carpet Calculator uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to find crashes. This is the one place where data leaves your device, so it is worth being exact about what does and does not travel:
- What is sent: anonymous event names and counters - which screen was opened, that the onboarding finished, that a job was saved or re-opened, that an export was started and in which format, which action opened the paywall, that a purchase completed and on which plan, and that the estimate disclaimer or the T-seam warning was displayed. A completed calculation additionally reports the number of rooms, the number of seams, the roll width rounded to a whole millimetre, and a yes/no flag for whether a pattern repeat was used. Alongside these we receive a randomly generated app-install identifier, device model, OS version and app version. Crash reports additionally include a stack trace.
- What is never sent: your room dimensions, your job and client names, your business name, your carpet products, any price, rate or total you enter, and the quotes you export. We can see that a calculation happened on a 12-foot roll and produced one seam; we cannot see the room it was for, whose job it was, or what you charged.
- Objecting: the statistics are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you as an individual. If you would nonetheless prefer that your installation not contribute to them, write to us at the address in section 15 and we will act on it. Uninstalling the app stops all collection immediately.

5. Purchases
If you buy Carpet Calculator Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play and validated through RevenueCat, which we use to check and restore entitlements. A pseudonymous app-user identifier and your receipt data are processed for that purpose. We never receive your name, email, or payment card details; payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. 6. Quotes, exports and sharing
Client quotes are generated as PDFs and share images on your device. If you share or print one, your device's standard share sheet sends it to the app, contact or printer you select. We are not involved in that transfer and never receive a copy. Note that a quote you share contains whatever you put on it, including your business name and your client's name.
7. Fonts and network access
The app's fonts are bundled inside the app and are not fetched from any font service at runtime. Apart from the statistics in section 4 and the purchase checks in section 5, the app makes network requests only when you deliberately open a link - for example this policy, which opens inside the app in a web view.
8. Permissions
Carpet Calculator requests no sensitive device permissions. It does not use the camera, microphone, contacts, or location. Exporting, printing and sharing use your operating system's built-in dialogs, at your request.
9. In-app review
The app may ask, at most occasionally and never before you have got value from it, whether you would like to leave a store review. The prompt and any review you write are handled by Apple or Google, not by us.
10. Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives on your device, you control it. Deleting a job or a carpet product removes it immediately; uninstalling the app removes all Carpet Calculator data from the device. Purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat are governed by their policies - to request deletion of purchase or analytics data, contact us and we will assist.
11. Children
Carpet Calculator is intended for adults estimating flooring work and is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. Legal basis (GDPR) and your rights
We hold no personal data on any server, so most data-subject rights are satisfied directly on your device, where you can view, edit and delete everything. For purchase data processed via the app stores and RevenueCat, the legal basis is performance of a contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For anonymous usage and crash statistics, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the app under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and you may object at any time as described in section 4. You may contact us to exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
13. Security
Your data is protected by your device's own security (lock screen, encryption). We recommend keeping your device secured and backed up.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Carpet Calculator evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Effective" date above.
