TONIGHT

Terms of Service.

Effective: May 19, 2026

The short version. Tonight is provided as-is by CodeEnsis Ltd. Your task data lives on your device. Use it responsibly, don't try to break it, and we're not liable for missed reminders or lost data.

1. Acceptance

By installing or using the Tonight mobile application ("Tonight", "the app") you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use Tonight.

2. The service

Tonight is a daily task application that resets your to-do list at local midnight and tracks completion streaks. It runs entirely on your device. CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us") publishes Tonight on the Apple App Store and may publish it on Google Play.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of all tasks, notes, and other content you enter into Tonight. Because that content lives in encrypted storage on your device and is not transmitted to our servers, we cannot read it, recover it, or restore it if your device is lost, reset, or has its data erased.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Subscriptions (if and when offered)

Tonight currently ships fully unlocked. If we introduce optional paid features in a future release, the purchase and renewal will be processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; cancellation is managed in your store account settings. We do not store payment information.

6. Notifications

If you enable reminders, Tonight schedules local notifications on your device. You are responsible for ensuring iOS notification permissions, Do Not Disturb settings, and Focus modes allow Tonight to deliver them. We do not guarantee delivery of any individual notification.

7. Privacy

Use of Tonight is also governed by the Privacy Policy. Please review it.

8. Disclaimers

Tonight is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Tonight will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reminder will fire at an exact time. Tonight is not intended for tasks where missed reminders could cause harm (medication doses, medical procedures, legal deadlines, safety-critical activities).

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeEnsis Ltd. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including loss of data, loss of streak history, missed appointments, or lost productivity, arising from your use of or inability to use Tonight.

Where law prohibits exclusion of certain warranties or limitations of liability, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by that law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as Tonight evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective" date. Continuing to use Tonight after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring a claim locally.
