Terms of Service.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Recipe Box & Meal Planner mobile application ("the app"), provided by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"), Χριστόδουλου Σώζου 2, EIFFEL TOWER, Floor 3, Flat/Office 301, 1096 Λευκωσία, Κύπρος. By installing, accessing, or using the app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. License to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to the rules of the app store from which you obtained it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by CodeEnsis Ltd.
3. Price
The app is currently free to download and use, with no subscriptions and no in-app purchases. If we introduce paid features in the future, their price and terms will be shown to you before any purchase, and these Terms will be updated accordingly.
4. Optional account
You can use the app without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google to sync your data, you are responsible for keeping access to your Google account secure. You can sign out at any time, and you can delete your account and all synced data from Settings → Delete account in the app or as described on our account deletion page.
5. Your content
The recipes, notes, meal plans, shopping lists and photos you add ("your content") belong to you. We claim no ownership of them. If you sign in and sync, you allow us, through our hosting provider, to store and transmit your content solely to provide the sync feature to you; this permission ends when you delete your account.
You are responsible for your content, including making sure you have the right to use any recipe text or photo you add that comes from someone else. Do not use the app to store content that is unlawful.
6. Not dietary or medical advice
The app helps you organise recipes, plan meals and build a shopping list. It does not provide nutritional, dietary, allergy, or medical advice. You are responsible for checking ingredients for allergens and for food safety when you cook. If you have a medical condition or special dietary needs, consult a qualified professional.
7. Your data and backups
Unless you sign in and sync, your data is stored only on your device (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for maintaining your own backups. We are not liable for data lost due to device failure, loss, deletion, app removal, or account deletion.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, or misuse the app or its sync service, attempt to access other users' data, remove proprietary notices, or use the app in violation of applicable law.
9. Updates and availability
We may release updates, fixes, and new features, and may discontinue features, the sync service, or the app itself at our discretion. Uptime, continued availability, and backward compatibility of any specific feature are not guaranteed.
10. Intellectual property
The app, including its source code, design, name, and logo, is the property of CodeEnsis Ltd. and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Your content is not covered by this section; see section 5. The app uses third-party open-source components subject to their respective licenses.
11. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We make no warranty that the app or its sync service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that synced data will never be lost.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall CodeEnsis Ltd., its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the app.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid CodeEnsis for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ten euro (€10). Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under EU consumer protection law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CodeEnsis Ltd. and its affiliates from any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the app, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights or applicable law.
14. Privacy
Your use of the app is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Nicosia, Cyprus shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
16. App store terms
If you obtained the app through Google Play, you also agree to Google's terms. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and platform terms, platform terms govern with respect to platform-specific obligations.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
