HEEL DROP

Privacy Policy.

Effective: August 2, 2026

The short version. Heel Drop measures floor vibration using your phone's accelerometer and processes it entirely on your device. Session history stays on your phone. There is no account, no cloud sync, and we never see your raw measurements.

1. Who we are

Heel Drop is a vibration-analysis application published by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"), Χριστόδουλου Σώζου 2, EIFFEL TOWER, Floor 3, Flat/Office 301, 1096 Λευκωσία, Κύπρος. Heel Drop turns your phone's accelerometer into an FFT/PSD instrument for floor-vibration measurement. This policy explains what data the app handles and your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR").

2. Data processed and stored on your device

Heel Drop reads your phone's accelerometer to compute a live time-domain, FFT, and PSD view. This signal is processed in memory on your device and is never transmitted to us. When you save a session, the following is written to local device storage only:

This data lives only in the app's local storage on your phone. We operate no backend server for session data and have no ability to access it. If you uninstall Heel Drop, this data is removed with the app.

3. What we do not collect

4. Analytics

Heel Drop uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate, anonymous usage of the app - for example, which screens are viewed and whether a recording was started, stopped, or a report was viewed. These events do not include your measurement values, session labels, or any personal content. Firebase is a service of Google LLC; see the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases (Heel Drop Pro)

Heel Drop Pro is a subscription purchased through the App Store or Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. To validate and restore your purchase, a pseudonymous app-user identifier and your purchase/receipt data are processed. We never receive your name, email, or payment card details - payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy, Apple Privacy Policy, and Google Privacy Policy.

6. Sharing and exports

When you export a session as CSV or a PDF report, the file is generated on your device. If you share it, your device's standard share sheet sends it to the app or contact you select. We are not involved in that transfer.

7. Permissions

Heel Drop reads your device's motion/accelerometer sensor to perform its core measurement feature. Neither iOS nor Android requires a runtime permission prompt for this sensor. No other sensitive device permission is requested.

8. In-app review

Heel Drop may prompt you, at most a few times, to leave an App Store or Play Store review using the platform's built-in review dialog. This is handled entirely by Apple or Google - we do not see whether you left a review or what it says.

9. Data retention and deletion

Because your session data lives on your device, you control it directly: delete an individual session from History to remove it immediately, or uninstall Heel Drop to remove everything. Purchase records held by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat are governed by their own policies - contact us and we will assist with deletion requests where applicable.

10. Children

Heel Drop is a professional measurement tool intended for structural/civil engineers, architects, and technicians. It is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Legal basis (GDPR) and your rights

Because we hold no personal measurement data on any server, most data-subject rights are satisfied directly on your device, where you can view, export, and delete every session. For purchase data processed via Apple, Google, and RevenueCat, the legal basis is performance of a contract under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; for aggregate analytics, the legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in understanding and improving the app. You may contact us to exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection, and you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

12. Security

Your session data is protected by your device's own security (lock screen, encryption). We recommend keeping your device secured and backed up.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Heel Drop evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Effective" date above.

14. Contact
