FIELDRECORDER
Terms of Service.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using FieldRecorder ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app. These terms are between you and Codeensis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us").
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use FieldRecorder on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial use, subject to these terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from (Apple App Store or Google Play).
3. Recording responsibly
FieldRecorder lets you record audio. You are responsible for using that capability lawfully. Audio recording laws vary by country, state, and context. In some places you must obtain consent from all parties to a conversation before recording. In other places, recording in private spaces, schools, or workplaces is restricted.
You agree that you will:
- Comply with all applicable recording, wiretapping, and privacy laws in the jurisdictions where you record.
- Obtain consent from other parties when required by law.
- Not use FieldRecorder to harass, surveil, or unlawfully record any person.
- Not record in venues, courtrooms, or facilities that prohibit recording.
Codeensis is not a party to your recordings and takes no responsibility for what you record or how you use those recordings.
4. Your content
Your recordings, markers, notes, and projects are yours. We do not claim any ownership of your content. We do not access, view, or transmit your content — see the Privacy Policy for details on what stays on your device.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Use the app to violate the rights of others, including privacy, publicity, intellectual property, or contractual rights.
- Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services or any third-party services.
6. Updates and changes
We may release updates to FieldRecorder to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Updates may change or remove features. We are not obligated to maintain any specific feature, format, or behavior indefinitely.
7. Third-party services
FieldRecorder may use third-party services such as Google Firebase for optional crash reporting. Use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. See the Privacy Policy for details.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
FieldRecorder is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific recording will be successfully captured or preserved.
You are responsible for backing up important recordings.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Codeensis Ltd. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, recordings, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of FieldRecorder.
10. Termination
You may stop using FieldRecorder at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or any specific feature at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Codeensis Ltd. is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you additional rights.
