CASEPILOT

Terms of Service.

Effective: May 1, 2026

The short version. CasePilot is an AI-assisted reading tool, not legal advice. You can rely on it as a starting point - not as a substitute for a qualified lawyer. Use it for documents you have the right to analyze.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CasePilot mobile application ("CasePilot", "the app"), provided by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"), Χριστόδουλου Σώζου 2, EIFFEL TOWER, Floor 3, Flat/Office 301, 1096 Λευκωσία, Κύπρος. By installing, accessing, or using CasePilot you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use CasePilot on devices you own or control, for your own personal or internal business use, subject to these Terms and to the rules of the app store from which you obtained it (Apple App Store, Google Play, or other authorized distributor). All rights not expressly granted are reserved by CodeEnsis Ltd.

3. CasePilot is not legal advice

CasePilot is an AI-assisted document-reading tool. It is not a law firm, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and CodeEnsis. The risk scores, clause flags, summaries, and chat answers are probabilistic outputs that can be incomplete, mistaken, or out of date. Do not rely on CasePilot as a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction, especially for high-stakes decisions. We disclaim any liability arising from your reliance on the app's output.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Content you submit

You retain ownership of every document you upload to CasePilot. By submitting a document you grant CodeEnsis a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, parse, display, and process that document for the sole purpose of providing the analysis and chat functionality to you. This license ends when you delete the document.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit each document you upload, including the right to have its content sent to the third-party AI providers we use (see Privacy Policy §4 and §12). We do not sell your documents, do not use them to train any AI model, and require our AI providers to do the same.

6. Subscriptions and free tier

CasePilot offers a free tier with daily quota limits and a paid Pro tier with higher quotas and additional features. Paid subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). You can cancel a subscription at any time in your platform's account settings. Refunds are handled by the platform.

We may change pricing, quotas, or feature scope of the free or Pro tier with reasonable notice. Pricing changes do not apply to your current paid period.

7. Account suspension and termination

You may stop using CasePilot at any time by uninstalling it. To delete your data, use Settings → Account → Delete account inside the app or email [email protected].

We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, abuse the service, or use it in a way that exposes us or other users to legal risk. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give notice and an opportunity to cure first. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.

8. Updates and availability

We may release updates, fixes, model changes, and new features to CasePilot from time to time. We may also discontinue features or the app itself at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an export path for your data before any major discontinuation, but uptime, continued availability, and backward compatibility of any specific feature are not guaranteed.

9. Intellectual property

CasePilot, including its source code, design, name, and logo, is the property of CodeEnsis Ltd. and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The app uses third-party open-source components subject to their respective licenses, listed in the app under Settings → About → Open-source licenses.

10. No warranty

CasePilot is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, or that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Without limiting the foregoing, we make no warranty that the AI-generated risk scores, clause flags, summaries, or chat responses are correct, current, complete, or fit for any particular legal or commercial purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall CodeEnsis Ltd., its officers, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, business opportunity, or any decision you make in reliance on CasePilot's output, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) CasePilot, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to CasePilot shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid CodeEnsis for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ten euro (€10).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited (for example, liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or as required under EU consumer protection law).

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CodeEnsis Ltd. and its affiliates from and against any claim, loss, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) content you submit through CasePilot, (b) your violation of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any third party's rights or applicable law.

13. Privacy

Your use of CasePilot is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what data CasePilot collects, how the AI analysis pipeline works, and your GDPR rights.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts of Nicosia, Cyprus shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of these Terms, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

15. App store terms

If you obtained CasePilot through Apple's App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the terms of the respective platform. To the extent of any conflict between these Terms and platform terms, platform terms govern with respect to platform-specific obligations (for example, refunds, in-app purchases).

16. Apple App Store - additional terms

The following terms apply only when CasePilot is downloaded from the Apple App Store and supplement these Terms. They are required by Apple Inc. ("Apple"). In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple EULA"), the Apple EULA controls solely with respect to use of CasePilot on Apple devices.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as CasePilot evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective" date above. Continuing to use CasePilot after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
