Terms of Use.
1. Who provides Water Tracker
Water Tracker is published by CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us"). These terms govern your use of the app on iOS and Android. Questions: [email protected].
2. Use of the app
You may use Water Tracker for its intended personal-productivity purpose — logging water intake, viewing reminders, and reviewing your progress. You may not use the app in a way that violates law, infringes a third-party right, attempts to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract source code beyond what local law expressly permits, or interferes with the app's normal operation.
3. No medical advice
Water Tracker is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Hydration goals, reminder schedules, achievements, and statistics are informational only. The hydration multipliers used for non-water drinks (coffee, tea, juice, etc.) reflect common tracking conventions and are not health guidance. Consult a qualified professional for medical questions about hydration, electrolytes, or specific conditions.
4. Your data and your responsibility
Your hydration data lives on your phone (see Privacy Policy). You are responsible for reviewing your own entries, your reminder settings, and any exported information. If you rely on reminder functionality, keep your device and the app updated and check that notification permissions are granted; we cannot guarantee a reminder will fire if the operating system suppresses it (battery optimisation, focus modes, low-power mode, etc.).
5. In-app purchases — Water Tracker Pro
Water Tracker offers a single one-time "Pro" unlock through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). There is no subscription. The unlock:
- Is a one-time purchase. It does not auto-renew. You will not be billed again.
- Removes the banner ad shown on the Statistics tab.
- Raises the cap on custom cups from 3 to 12.
- Unlocks all eight beverage types (free tier is water, coffee, tea).
The transaction is handled by Apple or Google. Their respective terms govern payment, taxation, refunds, and any family-sharing or restore-purchases mechanics. To restore a previous purchase on a new device or after a re-install, use Settings → Restore purchase while signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account that made the original purchase. Refund requests must be directed to Apple or Google through your account on those platforms; CodeEnsis does not process refunds directly.
6. Advertising in the free tier
The free tier of Water Tracker shows a single small banner advertisement at the bottom of the Statistics tab. The Home loop, Reminders, and Settings remain ad-free. Pro removes the banner entirely. Ads are served by Google AdMob; see section 6 of the Privacy Policy for what data flows to Google and how to opt out of personalisation.
7. Optional Apple Health / Health Connect sync
If you enable Sync with Apple Health (or Health Connect on Android), Water Tracker will write each logged drink as a water sample on your device's system Health store. This is opt-in; see section 4 of the Privacy Policy. We make no guarantees about the long-term availability of these integrations, which depend on Apple and Google.
8. Availability and changes
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Features, in-app content, integrations, prices for future versions, and availability may change without prior notice. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will CodeEnsis Ltd., its directors, employees, contractors, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Water Tracker. Where this limitation cannot be applied under your local law, our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Pro unlock or ten US dollars.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Water Tracker evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept them, stop using the app and uninstall it.
