Terms of Use.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By installing or using Reef Tank Log ("the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please uninstall the app. These terms are between you and CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us").
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Reef Tank Log on devices you own or control, for personal or commercial use, subject to these terms and the rules of the app store you downloaded it from (Apple App Store or Google Play).
3. The app is a logbook, not livestock advice
Reef Tank Log records the values you enter and draws them on a chart. Target ranges shown in the app are common hobby reference bands, offered for orientation only. They are not veterinary, chemical or husbandry advice, and they are not tailored to your system.
You remain solely responsible for the decisions you make about your aquarium - dosing, water changes, temperature, and the health of your livestock. Do not rely on the app in place of your own testing, judgement, or professional advice.
Dose reminders are ordinary local notifications. They can be delayed or suppressed by your operating system, by battery-saving modes, or by a device that is off. Never treat a reminder, or the absence of one, as confirmation that a dose was or was not administered.
4. Your content
Your tanks, readings, schedules, livestock entries and notes are yours. We do not claim ownership of your content, and we do not access, view or transmit it - see the Privacy Policy for what stays on your device.
5. Free features and Reef Tank Log Pro
The following are free, with no time limit and no reading cap: one tank, unlimited parameter readings, trend charts, the livestock journal, the maintenance and equipment log, and full backup and restore.
Reef Tank Log Pro unlocks unlimited tanks and dose schedules with reminders. Pro is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Subscriptions. Monthly and annual plans are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your store account settings: on iOS in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; it does not refund the period already paid for.
Lifetime. The lifetime option is a single, non-recurring purchase. It does not renew and is not a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies, not by us. We have no ability to issue store refunds directly.
Prices are set per territory by the store and may change. We may change what Pro includes in future versions, but we will not move a feature that is free at the time of your purchase behind the paywall for you.
6. Backups are your responsibility
The app stores your data locally and gives you a one-tap export. We do not hold a copy. If you lose, reset or replace your device without an exported backup, that data is gone and we cannot recover it. Export regularly.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Do not use the app to violate the rights of others, including privacy, intellectual property, or contractual rights.
- Do not use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our services or any third-party services.
8. Updates and changes
We may release updates to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Updates may change or remove features. We are not obligated to maintain any specific feature, format, or behaviour indefinitely.
9. Third-party services
Reef Tank Log uses Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting, and RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. Use of those services is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies. See the Privacy Policy for details.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
Reef Tank Log is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that a reminder will be delivered at a given time, or that any specific entry will be preserved.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeEnsis Ltd. is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, livestock, profits or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of Reef Tank Log.
12. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to the app or any specific feature at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, where CodeEnsis Ltd. is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you additional rights.
