PASSPORT PHOTO MAKER

Terms of Service.

Effective: June 2, 2026

The short version. Passport Photo Maker frames and checks your photo against published country specifications, on your device. It is a one-time purchase. We do our best to make your photo meet the spec, but we cannot guarantee any government office, embassy, or printer will accept it — final acceptance is always their decision. Use the app lawfully and for your own documents.

1. Agreement

These terms are a binding agreement between you and CodeEnsis Ltd. ("we", "our", "us") governing your use of the Passport Photo Maker mobile app (the "App"). By downloading or using the App you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What the App does

The App helps you take or import a photo, frames and resizes it to a selected country's official photo specification, and runs a set of compliance checks (such as head size, eye position, expression, and background) — all on your device. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on devices you own or control, for your own document photos.

3. No guarantee of acceptance

Government authorities, embassies, visa centres, photo labs, and online application systems set and enforce their own photo rules, change them without notice, and exercise human judgement when reviewing a photo. The App's specifications and checks are provided in good faith from published sources, but:

The compliance checks are an aid, not a legal certification.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App to: create photos for fraudulent or unlawful purposes; produce or alter images of a person without their consent; misrepresent another person's identity; or attempt to decompile, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the App except where such restriction is prohibited by law. You must comply with all laws that apply to you.

5. Purchases and refunds

The App is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing, and refunds are handled by the relevant store under its own terms. Refund requests are generally made through the store; you can also contact us at [email protected] and we will help where we can.

Our guarantee. If a photo you created with the App is rejected by the authority you submitted it to, email us at [email protected] with the rejection and we will make it right — we will help you re-shoot and re-export at no charge (re-takes are always free in the App), and if we still cannot get you a compliant photo we will refund your purchase. On Google Play we can issue the refund directly; on the Apple App Store refunds are processed by Apple, and we will support your request and will not contest it. This guarantee covers a genuine rejection of a photo the App marked as compliant; it does not cover a change of mind, a photo the App flagged as failing that you exported anyway, or rejection for reasons unrelated to the photo.

6. Your content

Your photos are yours. The App processes them on your device and does not transmit them to us (see our Privacy Policy). You are solely responsible for the photos you create and how you use them.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, code, and the CodeEnsis name and logo are owned by CodeEnsis Ltd. and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a licence to use the App, not any ownership of it.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any photo it produces will satisfy any third party's requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeEnsis Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any rejected application, missed appointment, reprint cost, travel cost, or fee, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes

We may update the App and these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated "Effective" date above. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence are unaffected.
