How DriveNote evolved from a driving timer into a mileage tracker

DriveNote started as a driving-time tracker, then shifted toward tax-ready mileage logging.

DriveNote originally started as a lightweight app to track driving time and basic trip statistics. It ships today under the name Odolog; everything below happened under the old one.

After early testing, it became clear that time alone was not enough for people who drive for work.

The product shifted toward:

  • automatic mileage tracking
  • business trip classification
  • tax-ready exports
  • cleaner yearly summaries

The current focus is making trip logging feel invisible in daily use.
